An International Forwarding Alliance

An international forwarding alliance brings together over 40 forwarders covering China's major port cities and key CIS cities. As the alliance's China–Russia trunk service provider, Kaguo supplies its members and their clients with stable capacity and a consistent rate structure.

Background

Most members are small and medium forwarders with limited individual volumes — negotiating directly with carriers brings poor rates. Their clients are scattered, so consolidation, trunk and distribution need unified coordination. The alliance needed a trunk provider with scale-based bargaining power and solid operations as a shared resource.

What we do

Members share Kaguo's three speed tiers and agreed rates: clients' cargo is dropped at the nearest of five pickup points, Kaguo consolidates and books together; after arrival, the alliance's destination members handle distribution and last-mile delivery. Settlement is monthly, and the internal rate structure is maintained by Kaguo.

Results

Since the cooperation began, members ship 150+ tonnes through Kaguo monthly; their trunk cost fell 12%-18% on average; one-waybill coordination inside the alliance improved significantly, cutting distribution time by 1-2 days on average. Kaguo's speed terms are applied uniformly across the alliance, making members' promises to end clients clearer.

Working mechanism

The alliance has a dedicated liaison; Kaguo publishes capacity and rate updates weekly. Quarterly joint meetings on capacity and market trends plan peak-season strategy together.
