A rail container transport group operates multiple China-Europe train routes with container yards, handling equipment and an end-to-end information system. Kaguo holds a fixed-slot partnership with the group — all rail line shipments run on its trains, making it the main capacity partner of our rail trunk line.

Background

Train slots are released per departure with a fixed number of containers, and bulk clients fear schedule instability above all: miss one departure and the whole plan shifts. Kaguo needed locked slots to give bulk clients a predictable dispatch rhythm.

What we do

The two sides signed a fixed-slot agreement: Kaguo submits weekly container plans, and the group guarantees fixed slots and rates for two departures per week (Yiwu–Moscow direction), with extra trains confirmed a month ahead in peak season. The cooperation covers booking, trucking, loading, border transhipment and delivery coordination end to end.

Results

Since the cooperation began, train schedule fulfilment stays above 99% and on-time performance for the 20-25 day tier reaches 97%. Bulk clients can lock schedules 3-4 weeks ahead, making inventory planning easier. Through the group's network, some eastern routes combine border-direct delivery options that skip the Moscow transhipment step.

Working mechanism

Every Monday both sides confirm weekly container volumes and slots, with monthly reconciliation. The group provides Kaguo with a real-time slot query interface, so clients can check train schedules and current location with their manager at any time.
